On row two, are the (Society of American Engineers) 'S.A.E. 10W. DIESELUBE HEAVY DUTY MOTOR OIL' (screen printed on the top with yellow background) tin quarts. Unilingual, English only. In use in 1960.
On row three, are the darker coloured transition Gulf orange/blue 'MOTOR OIL' tin quarts. (Society of Automotive Engineers, SAE, American Petroleum Institute, API, and American Society for Testing and Materials, ASTM),'DG-MM', mild for diesel engines, medium for gasoline engines. Bilingual, English and French. In use through 1967 and 1968.
On the bottom row, are the lighter coloured transitional Gulf orange/blue 'MOTOR OIL' tin quarts. (SAE, API and ASTM), 'DG-MS', mild for diesel engines, severe for gasoline engines. Bilingual, English and French. In use through 1967 and 1968.
