1965:  The Purity 99 assets were sold to Royalite with Anglo-Canadian merged into the Royalite name. Royalite now covered an area from the lakehead to British Columbia. The Anglo-Canadian Brandon Refinery, and Royalite's exploration and development operations were turned over to B/A, rendering Royalite a marketing company only.

The B/A Musical Showcase was being run on television.

The first tire completely designed and developed by B/A,
the B/A Supreme, was introduced.

The Holiday Inn chain now honoured B/A Credit Cards.

1966:  The Anglo-Canadian name was phased out. B/A sold its U.S. subsidiaries to the Chared Corporation of Dallas Texas, through which Gulf Oil Corporation gained these assets, for $86.1 million.
