1932: About this time B/A introduced Frost Cop Anti-Freeze. ![]() 1933: Due to the depression, B/A determined that it was necessary to reduce the wages of most employees, however, not one employee was laid off. 1934: B/A built Canada's first absorption plant at Longview Alberta, to extract natural gasoline from the wet gas (a mixture of natural gas and gasoline) produced at the Turner Valley Wells. B/A also built a 50 mile pipeline from Cut Bank Montana, to the Coutts Alberta refinery, to supply it with crude oil. In this same year, B/A purchased the Bell Refining Company in Calgary Alberta, the Coutts Alberta refinery, from the Northwest Stellarene Company, and the Moose Jaw Refinery, from the Sterling Oil Company.
